Medical Thermography
The best thermal camera in NORTH CAROLINA is at FSHW - the FLIRA500, which quickly detects and visualizes heat on the surface of the skin. FSHW offers imaging for breast, head, upper body, abdomen, lower body, and extremities. You may find that some of your health care providers may benefit from the use of thermographic images in their treatment approaches, especially chiropractors, biological dentists, and functional medicine practitioners.
One is able to see signs hormonal imbalance, cardiovascular activity, lymphatic congestion, areas of necrosis, sports injury, chronic pain, nerve impingements, and indicators of autoimmune illness. For this reason, thermography is useful in areas other than just the breast tissue.
Thermography works because of the comparison of images over time - establishing your baseline images at your first session allows us to compare the subsequent images to evaluate for change or growth of new vascularity and heat patterns, the efficacy of treatments you’re undertaking, and visualize overall progress (or decline). Follow-ups are recommended every three, six, or twelve months, depending on the image interpretation.
The image studio at FSHW has been thermally engineered to meet all the standards of thermographic imaging set by the Institute for the Advancement of Medical Thermography. From insulated rubber floors and high frequency wool fiber rug, to an automated privacy shade and custom climate control, rest assured you are receiving the most accurate and detailed thermal images available anywhere.

This is the number one question asked in thermography. And I love the answer: we work to change it.
Getting a finding in thermography can be like getting a second chance - you have the capability of identifying inflammatory patterns before more serious implications have time to form.
Finding something in thermography means that you’ll have to take a look at your lifestyle and be open to making some changes. Factors such as stress, diet, sleep, emotions, and exercise are the most common and most effective ways to manage inflammatory patterns that are visible in thermal imaging.
FSHW is a one-stop shop for your health: have your images taken, and do a health coaching consultation with me to determine where changes can be made to improve your health. Part of my program involves muscle testing for different conditions and using herbs specific to your body to help you cleanse and heal. When we re-image in 3-6 months after your protocol, you will see the results in the images.
I am well-connected with highly qualified practitioners in the area who can work on most of the common ailments that present in thermography, so the appropriate referrals will be made to help get you on the path to improvement as effectively as possible.
It’s much better to know and be able to do something. Don’t let this stop you from choosing to image!

Thermography can be used to help understand cases of mastitis or clogged ducts while nursing; in thermal images, one can see if there is an infection that is forming before physical symptoms present, so mastitis can potentially be addressed before it becomes problematic.
However, it is ideal to wait 3-6 months after nursing to take thermal images that will establish baseline health.
